We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Classroom Support Assistant to join our team in Winterbourne, South Gloucestershire. The Role:
- Individualised Support: Assist in providing one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them with their academic tasks and overcoming learning barriers.
- Classroom Assistance: Work alongside classroom teachers to implement lesson plans and activities, ensuring a smooth and effective learning environment.
- Behaviour Management: Assist in managing classroom behaviour, using positive reinforcement techniques to maintain a conducive learning atmosphere.
- Resource Preparation: Help prepare and organise educational materials and resources to support effective teaching and learning.
- Student Engagement: Encourage and motivate students to participate in classroom activities, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Progress Monitoring: Track and report on student progress, providing valuable feedback to teachers to inform instructional strategies.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with teachers, students, and parents to support student development and address any concerns.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience in an educational setting is preferred, ideally in a support role.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
- Empathy and Patience: Demonstrates empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting young learners.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt support strategies to meet the individual needs of students and classroom dynamics.
- Basic Literacy and Numeracy: Good literacy and numeracy skills are essential.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to create a supportive learning environment.
