Media Teacher Roles

Tick Education have been asked by a successful secondary school in the area for a Media Teacher in Milton Keynes. This position offers the opportunity to teach secondary students at both GCSE and A-Level, providing them with an engaging and comprehensive media education. The successful candidate will have the chance to make a significant impact on young minds and contribute to their academic and personal growth. The position is a long-term role with the opportunity to go permanent.

Media Teacher roles include:

- Develop and deliver high-quality lessons in Media Studies, catering to both GCSE and A-Level students.

- Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.

- Deliver lessons that cover a range of media topics, including film, television, advertising, journalism, and digital media.

- Provide guidance and support to students in their coursework, projects, and exam preparation.

- Regularly assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and implementing intervention strategies where necessary.

- Foster creativity and critical thinking skills through practical media projects and assignments.

- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement cross-curricular initiatives and extracurricular activities related to media studies.

- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and other relevant data.

- Stay up to date with the latest developments in media technology, trends, and industry practices.

Requirements:

- A relevant degree in Media Studies, Film Studies, Communication, or a related field.

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.

- Experience teaching Media Studies at GCSE and/or A-Level, including a solid understanding of the curriculum requirements.

- Strong subject knowledge and passion for media education.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.

- Effective classroom management skills, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

- Commitment to student achievement, progress, and well-being.
