My Walsall based Engineering client have a fantastic opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join the company. This is a new and exciting position due to expansion and growth.

Duties:-

* Controlling and allocating resources (responsible for around 10/16 personnel)

* Assist in control of consumables.

* Advice and control of tooling / jigs & fixtures

* Represent specialist field.

* Setting up and maintaining production targets / dates.

* Assist in data / time recording of hours.

* Liaise with QA / Contracts on welding methods.

* Planning, assigning, and directing production work.

* Maintaining organisation and discipline.

* Appraising staff performance.

* Monitoring health & safety in the workplace.

* Issuing work / jobs packages.

* Promote and monitor quality awareness.

* Promote teamwork and communication.

* Assist the site services department.

* Assist in maintaining security of the building and contents.

* Assist in training new starters / apprentices.

* Maintain general cleanliness of areas.

Key Skills:-

* Essential you have worked a Production Supervisor previously

* If you have a fabrication & welding background this is advantageous

* Must have the ability to able to read & interpret engineering drawings.

* Good man management skills

* Able to work on own initiative
