About the role:

SEN TA: We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Havering. This full-time, long-term role involves supporting Key Stage 1 and 2 students with Autism, SEMH, and learning difficulties. You will work alongside teachers, parents, and the SENCO to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment. This is a great opportunity to develop your SEN experience and make a positive impact on students' development.

SEN TA Requirements:
• Previous experience supporting children with SEN is desirable but not essential.

• A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to working with children.

• A strong understanding of Autism, SEMH, and/or other SEN areas is advantageous

.• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively

.• A valid DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).

Key Responsibilities: As an SEN TA, you will:

• Supporting students with SEN on a one-to-one basis or in small group settings.

• Assisting teachers with planning and delivering tailored lessons for SEN pupils.

• Providing emotional and behavioural support to help students overcome challenges.

• Monitoring and recording student progress, feeding back to teachers and SENCO.

• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children under your care.
