Job Title: Financial Advisory - Chartered Accountant

Role Overview:
An exciting opportunity has opened for a Chartered Accountant (ACA or equivalent) to join a dynamic and growing Financial Advisory team. This role is ideal for professionals from an audit, advisory, or transaction services background who are eager to apply their expertise in financial due diligence, independent business reviews (IBRs), and pre-lending assessments.

The successful candidate will work with lenders, investors, and management teams to analyze financial and commercial aspects of businesses in the lower mid-market, providing insights across various stages of the corporate life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence, analyzing management accounts and key financial information.

* Identify and interpret unusual trends or variances, providing insights on potential causes.

* Assess clients' business operations, financial health, and strategic positioning to support decision-making.

* Develop and present Independent Business Review (IBR) reports, outlining risks and recommendations.

* Sensitize financial forecasts based on key business risks and potential mitigants.

* Engage with stakeholders, including lenders, management teams, and investors, to communicate findings.

* Work closely with clients to implement recommendations and monitor financial performance.

* Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs and long-term objectives.

* Collaborate with Partners and senior leadership to deliver integrated solutions.

* Promote continuous learning and development within the team.

Qualifications & Experience:

* Chartered Accountant (ACA or equivalent) qualification.

* Strong professional exam performance, with first-time passes in key accounting and financial analysis modules.

* Solid understanding of financial due diligence, corporate finance, and transaction advisory.

* Awareness of debt structures and bank facilities available to SMEs in the UK.

* Proficiency in Excel, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to assess incomplete financial information and derive meaningful insights.

* Understanding of how operational challenges impact financial performance, including working capital fluctuations, cash flow, and P&L statements.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

* Detail-oriented, adaptable, and proactive in approach.

* Strong client service mindset, committed to delivering high-quality financial advisory solutions.
