Hours: 06:00 - 18:00, 4 days on, 4 days off

This role plays a vital part in supporting our facility by managing vehicle operations within the receipt and distribution department to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient delivery processes.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you'll be responsible for safely managing deliveries by assisting vehicle operators, maintaining a clear flow of traffic, and keeping areas free of pedestrians. Your primary tasks include:

Coordinating the delivery and movement of supplies in partnership with logistics and ward staff, ensuring high-quality service.
Managing traffic flow by directing vehicles, using signs and barriers, and minimising reversing where possible to enhance safety.
Maintaining a clean and organised service yard, including daily cleaning of public areas and waste management.
Operating essential equipment such as pallet trucks and compactors and managing the safe disposal of waste.
Supporting periodic cleaning by moving light furniture and reporting any equipment or building issues.

Skills & Requirements:

Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with drivers and team members.
Awareness of health and safety practices, including COSHH regulations for cleaning supplies.
Ability to follow operational procedures and policies for safety and confidentiality.
