PE Global is recruiting a Control System Design Engineer for our multinational mining and construction client based in Peterborough. This role is hybrid and an initial 12-month contract.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Collaborate with teams to develop requirements for sustainable, low carbon power systems.
• Create control algorithms and software models using Matlab, Simulink, and Stateflow.
• Conduct control system tuning/calibration on test bench or machine.
• Conduct sub-system FMEAs and manage updates.
• Execute verification and validation testing for electronics/control system software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electronics/control system issues.

Requirements:

• Technical degree preferred in mechanical, electronic, electrical, control systems or automotive engineering.
• Matlab, Simulink and Stateflow experience is essential (must've used it to create Control Algorithms).
• Essential experience is working previously with Internal combustion Engines and having the internal combustion knowledge.
• Previous experience helping to develop requirements for engine control system functionality.
