Deputy Nurse Manager (Supernumerary)

Salary: £55,000

Monday-Friday (09:00 - 17:00)

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Deputy Nurse Manager to join our client's team in providing high-quality care for elderly residents in their nursing home. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, leadership capabilities, and a passion for delivering person-centred care to individuals with varying healthcare needs.

Qualifications

• Active UK NMC Pin and a nursing qualification - RGN (Registered General Nurse) or RMN (Registered Mental Health Nurse)
• Proven experience in a senior nursing role within an elderly care or dementia care setting
• Strong clinical knowledge and skills in palliative care and complex healthcare needs
• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making abilities
• Understanding of CQC regulations and commitment to upholding quality standards

Responsibilities

• Assist the Nurse Manager in overseeing the clinical and operational aspects of the nursing home
• Provide direct patient care and support to residents, particularly those with dementia and palliative care needs
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, ensuring compliance with CQC standards and best practices in elderly care
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and multidisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the nursing home
