We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join a dynamic and growing organisation based in East Kent. This pivotal role will lead a small team of three and take ownership of financial reporting, compliance, and board reporting, while overseeing the financial operations of the entire organisation.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the preparation of annual statutory accounts and regulatory filings for all group entities.
  • Consolidate group trading accounts monthly.
  • Coordinate the audit process and act as the main point of contact for auditors.
  • Handle technical accounting for acquisitions and disposals.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and management accounts.
  • Assist in cash flow management and optimising working capital efficiency.
  • Responsible for the accurate calculation and submission of MGD, PAYE, and VAT.
  • Manage financial systems, controls, and process improvements.
  • Contribute to project work including working capital management, acquisitions, disposals, and debt restructuring.
  • Supervise and develop a small finance team.
You’ll need to be an accomplished Finance Leader ideally possessing a relevant financial qualification such as ACCA, ACA or CIMA,  and be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of IFRS, technical accounting and strong expertise in statutory accounting and management accounts preparation. You will have a proven background in financial reporting, particularly from within a fast-paced SME environment. Any experience with acquisitions would be beneficial. You should be deadline-driven, able to work effectively under pressure, and take ownership of tasks. A proactive, self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail, they should also have a passion for improving processes and driving efficiencies.
