We are currently looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals to take on the role of Lunchtime Supervisor at a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Barnsley. This role is ideal for those who have a genuine passion for working with children with special needs and who have previous experience in a similar setting.
Day to Day of the role: - Supervise students during lunchtime, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assist with feeding and other personal care tasks as needed.
- Encourage positive social interactions and support students in developing their social skills.
- Manage any challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a supportive and inclusive environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Previous experience working as a Lunchtime Supervisor or in a similar role.
- Experience working with children with special educational needs.
- A valid DBS check on the update service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
