Sellick Partnership is currently recruiting for a Permanent Finance Business Partner for Bristol City Council.

Job Purpose: Finance Business Partner

Responsible for delivering high quality financial advice and commercial & financial expertise to the organisation
Take a full and proactive approach in managing & delivering timely financial and management accounting services
Responsible for providing comprehensive & innovative support to senior managers & councillors on a range of propositions
To act as an integral member of the finance management team & drawing on specialist expertise identifying, developing & supporting opportunities and initiatives to transform the delivery of financial services & governance across the council & contribute to strategic and operational developments. Main responsibilities: Finance Business Partner

Budgeting and medium long term financial planning
Forecasting and Financial Reporting
Business Partnering
Provide trusted proactive robust strategic and operational financial management, commercial & financial planning advice and support related to option analysis, business case development and budget management.
Ensure that effective financial controls are in operation
Oversee the detailed revenue and/or capital budgets
Lead on the provision of high quality financial and commercial insight,
Lead and coordinate development of the council's Capital and Investment Strategy
Lead on the development, coordination and financing of the council's capital programme Person specification: Finance Business Partner

Local Authority experience
Fully qualified
Financial Management experience
