As we embark on this journey, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commissioning Home Manager to lead and establish our new facility from the ground up.

Job Description: As the Commissioning Home Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the successful opening and ongoing management of our new residential home. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our home, ensuring it meets the highest standards of care and compliance from the very beginning. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the home's setup, staff recruitment, and initial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the commissioning process, including the setup of the home, obtaining necessary registrations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and care plans tailored to individual resident needs
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of dedicated care staff
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with healthcare professionals, families, and other stakeholders
  • Ensure the home provides a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents and staff
  • Manage budgets and financial performance of the home
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and maintain high standards of care
  • Monitor and evaluate the home's performance, addressing any issues promptly
  • Foster a culture of excellence, compassion, and professional development

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a residential care setting, with a focus on commissioning or establishing new homes
  • Strong knowledge of care standards and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and people management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively
  • Compassionate, patient, and committed to providing high-quality care
  • Registered Manager with a valid registration (CQC or equivalent) preferred
