Web Designer

Leeds, UK
Apply Now

Company: HIREFUL.

Job Type: Permanent, FullTime

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum

Are you a Web Designer, with strong UI / UX experience, who lives and breathes design and functionality?

We’re looking for a creative problem solver with a keen eye for detail, ready to shape seamless and visually compelling user experiences, across our digital offerings.

Join us to build the future of digital interaction within a growing, innovative Leeds-based tech start-up that values forward-thinking ideas and fresh perspectives!

What will I be called? Web Designer. UI / UX Developer / Designer. Front End focused UI / UX person.

What will you pay me to do the stuff? Up to £45K Basic + bonus scheme + training budget + benefits package.

Where will I do the stuff? Leeds & your house. We offer a hybrid work environment which is very flexible. 2-3 days per week in Leeds office (city centre), 2-3 days at home. I mean, after a while, this usually slips to 1-2 days in the office, but we don’t mind that.

Well, this sounds good! What do you need from me?

-  Strong proficiency in CSS3 and HTML5.

-  Demonstrable UX & design skills, with a portfolio showcasing previous work and a knack for creating engaging user experiences. Although, we understand people actually, like, work, so may not have time to keep an up-to-date portfolio – so no worries if you don’t!

-  A solid understanding of responsive design principles, with a passion for building products that are both visually appealing and highly functional.

-  Some experience of SASS / LESS.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

-  Basic JavaScript knowledge is a plus but not essential. As is the React framework. However, this is far more on the UX / UI  Design front than “developer” & you will have a whole team of Developer nerds to rely on if things get too technical….

-  Experience with UI / UX prototyping tools, such as: Adobe XD, Figma, or Sketch
