My client, a leading Lloyd's of London Underwriter, are actively seeking a skilled AP & AR Manager to join their growing team. Located in the Heart of the City of London, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a very well respected Underwriter. Insurance experience is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Supervision and line management of the AP and AR team
- Processing of supplier invoices including matching purchase orders
- Ensure new supplier accounts are set up correctly
- Multi-currency settlements to suppliers
- Manage intercompany settlements across all group companies
- Assist with the testing and roll out of new processes/software
- Maintain SAP Concur employee expenses and credit cards, ensuring audit checks are performed and expenses are settled twice monthly
- Preparation of the Group’s Gifts and Hospitality registers
- Oversee and develop the Accounts Receivable function for the UK Security business and Claims Deductible recovery process, including active credit control and responding to Brokers, Policyholders and Customers
- Distribution of aged receivable reports across the business
- Manage the recovery of "Risk Management" costs from insurance carriers
- Ensure the balance sheet position is correctly stated and reconciled on a monthly basis
Skills & Ability
- Computer literate with strong skills in Outlook and Excel
- Good communicator / self-confident - must be happy to pick up the phone to chase payments
- Strong analytical skills - ability to manipulate large datasets
Knowledge & Experience
- Demonstrable experience in an Accounts Payable and Receivable role, including experience leading a team
- Exposure to a multi-currency environment would be a distinct advantage
- Experience of NetSuite or similar accounting system advantageous
