Warehouse Operator

We are now looking to recruit a Warehouse Operator to join the Romford Warehouse team. Working as part of a busy warehouse team, you will be responsible for all transportation of waste materials and the operation of recycling equipment in a safe manner, incoming and outgoing stock movements, ensuring that products are reliably tracked, stored and shipped on-time and in accordance with Good Distribution Practices and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Day to day responsibilities

  • Loading and unloading of delivery vehicles
  • Checking for damaged or missing items for onward storage in the warehouse
  • Keeping an accurate record of the stock on the ERP system (SAP)
  • Operating a forklift truck to move and rearrange stock and ensure that products are stored safely
  • Picking orders using a hand-held scanner and prepare for packing and onward distribution
  • To assist with stock control and inventory procedures to maximise availability and minimise waste
  • To ensure the safe and appropriate storage of medicines including environmental controls
  • Providing timely and accurate delivery of outputs
  • Maintain good knowledge of relevant governance, SOPs and ways of working
  • Responsible for maintaining appropriate levels of housekeeping and cleanliness in the area in compliance with Good Manufacturing (GMP) and Good Distribution (GDP) Practice

Skills/experience

  • Educated to GCSE (or equivalent level)
  • Minimum 1 year working with a warehouse environment
  • Experience of using a forklift truck
  • Experience of working within a process driven/structured environment
  • Desirable experience of working in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
  • Desirable experience of using SAP
  • C1 Licence and CPC

What we offer you

  • £27,260.00 per annum including a 16% shift allowance
  • 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays with an opportunity to buy or sell up to an additional 5 days

Working hours information

  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, working early and late shifts, which will rotate on a weekly basis
  • Early shift: 6am - 2pm
  • Late shift: 2pm - 10pm

We also provide medicines to psychiatrists, GPs, doctors, nurses and ex-drug users all of whom are involved in prescribing and providing services to patients.

Our Romford facility is located 20 miles from the centre of London and consists of over 6700 square metres of a high-quality, modern pharmaceutical facility where we mix, fill, sterilise, inspect, pack, and label a wide range of medicines.
