About the Role:
We are searching for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our exceptional school in Tower Hamlets. Your role will be crucial in providing tailored support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, including those with ADHD and potential self-harming behaviors. By working closely with teachers and the SENCO, you'll help create a nurturing environment where every child feels supported and valued.

What You'll Do:

Provide focused morning support for students with SEMH needs, helping them manage emotions and behaviors in a positive way.
Offer afternoon support across Key Stages 1 and 2, adapting to the individual needs of students as required.
Help build an inclusive and encouraging classroom environment, where every child feels confident to learn.
Work alongside teachers and the SENCO to implement personalized learning strategies and interventions.
Foster strong, positive relationships with students, encouraging both their social and academic development.

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
A solid understanding of SEN, safeguarding, and child protection practices.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Willingness to assist with nappy changing when required, ensuring every child's needs are met.
Strong communication skills and a natural ability to build rapport with students and staff.
Relevant qualifications or training in education, SEN, or child development would be highly beneficial.
