We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist / Image Analysis Developer to join our team and contribute to cutting-edge research in the field of genomics. As a key member of our imaging team, you will work closely with scientists and engineers to develop innovative solutions for interdisciplinary scientific problems.

About the Role

As Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing image analysis pipelines for spatial genomics and high-content screening data
  • Collaborating with our team of scientists and engineers to understand imaging data and develop efficient solutions
  • Troubleshooting problems on a day-to-day basis and escalating issues outside of your expertise
  • Communicating results through presentations, posters, and meetings with collaborators
  • Executing and maintaining existing imaging-based analysis pipeline services

About You

To excel in this role you will need the following:
  • MSc or Ph.D. in a relevant quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Computational Biology, Genetics, Bioinformatics)
  • Experience working with image analysis tools such as QuPath, OMERO, Napari, and Fiji
  • Knowledge of software development good practices and collaboration tools (git-based version control, Python package management, Docker/Singularity)
  • Excellent communication skills to explain complex image analysis algorithms to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize tasks or projects
