About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant two-form entry primary school. This is an excellent opportunity to support a pupil with Special Educational Needs, helping them thrive in their learning journey.

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to create a supportive, nurturing environment that encourages progress and confidence in the pupil.

Key Responsibilities

Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with specific learning, emotional, or behavioral needs.
Assist in implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to the pupil's needs.
Support the pupil in engaging with the curriculum, ensuring access to learning and promoting independence.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals to adapt teaching strategies.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for the pupil.
Monitor and report the pupil's progress to relevant stakeholders.

About You

The ideal candidate will:

Have prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with SEN pupils.
Be empathetic, patient, and able to build a strong rapport with pupils.
Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Demonstrate an understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
Be flexible and adaptable to meet the pupil's changing needs.
Hold relevant qualifications or training Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification
