Purpose of the role and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Portfolio Management, Technology Partners are the strategic interface with the Departments that build and nurture strong relationships across the business.
They seek to develop a shared understanding of business needs and long-term goals to ensure that Technology truly supports, innovates, enhances and enables strategy. The Technology Partner acts as the relationship link between Technology and the business, acting as the primary point of contact for business leaders and technologists to access specialist advice and support.
They are a conduit by which technology requests are raised, progressed, decisions made and communicated and will share knowledge of technology risks and opportunities in order to develop solutions that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the charity.
The Technology Partner is an outward-facing proactive role that, with the support of solution architects, brings all business technology stakeholders together to create and maintain technology systems roadmaps for core capabilities.
Within the Technology team, Technology Partners act as facilitators of internal engagement and communication, supporting the flow of information through Technology to the business and vice versa. The role focuses on strong stakeholder management skills, managing expectations in the art of the possible within the parameters of Technology capability and fit

Experience

Experience of working on implementing a technology solution in a complicated business unit
Proven experience in building and maintaining relationships with key business counterparts
Proven experience of working with senior level management to develop plans and roadmaps that integrate with IT
Experience in defining innovative technology initiatives that meet the needs of the business
Managing complex stakeholder requirements and influencing collaborative working to achieve programme aims
Knowledge of trends in technology in service design and the workplace.
Knowledge of IT solution definition, development, evaluation, recommendation and selection processes
Skilled relationship manager
Skilled in strategic planning and coordinating roadmap development and maintenance
