Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Location: Chelmsford, Essex (Hybrid - Office-based with some remote working)
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 + Package

Overview:
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our Client's commercial team based in Chelmsford, Essex. Key Responsibilities:

Support the commercial team with the management of project costs, valuations, and reporting

Assist in the preparation and analysis of tender documentation

*

Monitor project progress and help manage subcontractor accounts

*

Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting

*

Help with the procurement of subcontractors and materials

*

Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts

*

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and commercial best practices

Requirements:

*

Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field

*

Previous experience with a Main construction or Sub Contractor is preferred

*

Strong numerical and analytical skills

*

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

*

Self-motivated and eager to develop professionally

*

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software (e.g. Excel, project cost systems)
