About the Role:
A leading UK ports and logistics business is introducing a cutting-edge vessel to its operations in Middlesbrough. We are seeking an experienced and qualified Vessel Master to oversee the safe command and efficient operation of this state-of-the-art vessel.

Role Overview:
As the Vessel Master, you will have overall responsibility for the safe navigation, operation, and performance of the vessel. You will lead a dedicated crew, ensure compliance with maritime and environmental regulations, and maintain high standards of safety and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

* Safely command the vessel, ensuring all navigational and operational procedures are followed.

* Execute dredging activities in line with port requirements and schedules.

* Lead and motivate the crew, fostering a professional and collaborative work environment.

* Ensure compliance with international and local maritime regulations, including ISM Code and SOLAS.

* Maintain all required documentation and certifications for the vessel and crew.

* Oversee vessel maintenance to ensure systems and equipment are in top condition.

* Provide detailed operational and incident reports to management.

* Collaborate with port and marine teams to align dredging operations with broader port activities.

* Monitor fuel usage, consumables, and budgets to ensure cost-effective operations.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Master's Certificate of Competency (STCW II/2) 3000 GT or Master Unlimited.

* Proven experience commanding vessels.

* Comprehensive knowledge of maritime regulations and safety standards.

* Excellent leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.

* Proficiency in navigation systems and equipment.
