Shift: Week 1 - Mon to Sat 06:00 till 14:00 / Week 2 - Mon to Fri 13:45 till 21:45

These are some of the qualities you would need to have in your armoury to fulfill this exciting role as an Engineering Shift Team Leader.

Some of the non-negotiables you would need:

Electrical bias - or hold relevant qualifications.
Apprenticeship qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds)
FMCG experience, especially with automated machinary
You would need to have the ability to electrcally fault find, and comfortbale working with minimum supervision.

This role is hands on, so this would be great for someone looking to still keep involved on the tools as well as leading a team! Working alongside the Department Manager, you would be the main point of call on shift and help resolve issues electrcially and mechanically when they cant be done by engineers.

Responsiblities:

• To support the Engineering Manager in delivering departmental goals
• Effectively utilising team skills; supervising, training and mentoring staff via practical instruction
• Coordinating and delivering planned, preventative maintenance schedules
• The repairing, fault finding and testing of electrical and mechanical plant equipment
• Assistance with office work, paperwork and record keeping
• Mentoring of Apprenticeship candidates where applicable
• Deputising for the Engineering Manager - this would give you experience for career development.
• Equipment breakdown call-out on a rota basis
