Client Details

Our client is a well established manufacturing business based near Long Eaton.

Description

You will be working as part of a small finance team of 4, and will be reporting into the Financial Controller. Your role will be heavily focused upon accounts receivable, accounts payable and banking, but there is also the opportunity to support the team in other areas of finance. Your duties will include:

  • Processing accounts payable transactions and ensuring the entries are accurate.
  • Preparing weekly payment proposals for approval.
  • Emailing vendor remittances for payments raised.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of AR ageing.
  • Leading the collections process for accounts receivable and ensuring the timely payment of debts.
  • Emailing customer statements for outstanding debts.
  • Updating bank transactions for various bank accounts.
  • Reconciling the bank accounts.
  • Dealing with any accounts payable and accounts receivable queries.
  • Assisting with inter-company transactions.
  • Assisting with streamlining and optimising accounting procedures.
  • Other ad hoc duties.

Profile

To apply for this position you will:

  • Have a minimum of 18 months' experience of working in finance - essential.
  • Ideally have experience of working in accounts payable, accounts receivable and banking - desirable.
  • Have excellent communication skills - essential.

Job Offer

  • £25,000 - £30,000 (Dependent upon experience)
  • Hours are 8:30-5 Monday to Thursday, and 8:30-2:30 on Fridays
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Company pension scheme - employer contributes 4%
  • This is an office based role.
