Join a leading Vehicle Systems Manufacturer specializing in engineered systems that support OEM's within Automotive, Aerospace, Defence & Motorsport. A market leading organisation with circa 500 Employees and £200 million Turnover.

Role Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced, driven individual, developing and converting your own sales leads and developing opportunities within the Automotive OEM space across Europe and International markets.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist the Head of Business Development and Commercial Director with the development of a rolling 5-year sales and marketing plan for the business following quantitative analysis of both existing and potential markets for our products and services.

* Build and maintain healthy and long-lasting key customer relationships for existing and new customers.

* Provide concise, regular management reporting of all key business metrics.

* Negotiation of contracts to achieve commercially advantageous outcomes.

* Develop and maintain an efficient, dynamic sales plan that focusses on targeted clients to ensure high win-rates.

* Develop and maintain your opportunities pipeline from initial lead through to win.

Required Skills and Experience

* Strong background in Business Development or Sales within the Automotive industry working at tier 1 or OEM level.

* Experience of working in a high-pressure environment.

* Experience of working closely with other teams such as Engineering, Project Management, Finance, Marketing, etc.

* A strong team player with drive, passion and enthusiasm with the ability to lead bid teams.

* Demonstrable experience of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets

* Proven ability in excellent proposal leadership, development and writing, along with professional selling and presentation skills.

* Good understanding of vehicle systems/sub-systems and vehicle assembly.

* Understanding of low volume / prototype vehicle manufacture as well as NPI and APQP.

* Strong influencing and negotiation skills.

* Practical experience of using CRM tools to track progress of your opportunities.

* Knowledge of and contacts with Global OEMs would be an advantage
