A fantastic Birmingham based, SME construction consultancy are in need for a experienced Quantity Surveyor to work on exciting Residential, Commercial and Infrastructure projects across all of Birmingham.

They offer experience in all sectors including unique projects such as museums, galleries, sports stadiums, manufacturing warehouses and much more exciting builds.

You will not only be working closely with the Directors in the office but also assisting and leading the team of assistants and graduates in order to progress and develop into a leading Associate in the future.

We are looking for:

* Consultancy background

* Strong Quantity Surveying experience.

* Experience of leading client meetings and managing stakeholders.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Have the drive to develop their career and drive themselves forward

* Ability to communicate effectively at a high technical level with clients, members of the design team, other professionals in the industry, and contractors in all written communication.

* Capable of working to specific targets and timescales.

* A considered approach to negotiations with contractors.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be:

* Preparing budget estimates/cost plans.

* Preparing bills of quantities.

* Preparing tender documents.

* Completing tender evaluation and reports.

* Interim valuations.

* Cost reports and final accounts including the evaluation of Contractor's claims.

* Reporting direct to clients including presentations.
