Application Support Analyst, Python Scripting - Financial/Banking

Candidates will have extensive Application Support and MUST HAVE strong Python Scripting

Not essential as candidates with the right technical skills will be considered but preferred candidates will come from a Financial/Banking environment with Financial Trading, Risk and Settlement Application Support experience. This is predominantly a Support Role but some DevOps and Cloud - AWS/Azure experience would be beneficial.

Required Skills:

• Experience providing Trading Application Support including installation/configuration and upgrading.
• Must have strong Python Scripting - with any PowerShell beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of Databases to DBA/Developer level including writing and troubleshooting SQl Code including performance issues - SQL Server/Oracle.
• Used to working in mixed Windows/Linux environment with any Linux Systems Administration (Redhat, Centos) highly desirable.
• Some Cloud Monitoring Tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Puppet or Ansible.
• Some experience/knowledge of IAC and CI/CD Pipelines
• FIX Connectivity - Client On-boarding, Support/Troubleshooting of FIX Logs/Connections.
• General Networking/Infrastructure Troubleshooting and Diagnostics - DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Firewalls
• Good understanding/operational experience of ITIL methodology with any certifications beneficial.
• Ability work well under pressure in a vibrant and busy environment.

Non Essential But Highly Desirable Skills:

• Previous experience supporting Futures & Options Trading, Risk and Settlement Systems.
• Experience with Payment/Settlement systems - Swift, Euroclear etc.
• Knowledge of at least one of the ISV's products - Trading Technologies, Stellar, ULLink, WebICE, Object Trading, Fidessa, ION, Trayport.
• Exchange Connectivity - ICE/LIFFE, Eurex, CME/CBOT, Euronext, Xetra, Chi-X, LME, LSE, NYSE.
• Other Market Data - Reuters, Bloomberg, CQG, Ateo (Teo and Lisa).
• Experience in Exchange and Vendor Management with a view to project managing exchange/system critical upgrades
• Whilst experience gained in Financial Markets or Financial Services - ideally banking - would be highly beneficial the core underlying Technical Skills are more important.

There's a broad salary range which will be wholly dependent on level of skills and relevant Financial Industry experience.
