Location: Commutable distance to London / Winchester with the expectation of being onsite at least twice a week

Arqiva is seeking a dynamic Public Affairs Specialist to shape and execute our public affairs strategy. This role involves engaging with regulatory bodies, government entities, and key stakeholders to advance our strategic priorities. You will manage public affairs campaigns, oversee projects with external agencies, and maintain relationships with industry membership bodies. Additionally, you will deliver policy analysis, respond to consultations, and monitor industry trends.

The role

* Input to Arqiva's strategy and approach to public affairs

* Support the execution of the public affairs strategy and priorities through interaction with regulatory bodies, Government, Westminster and other stakeholders

* Oversee projects with external public affairs and research agencies and manage the day-to-day activities of Arqiva's public affairs campaigns

* Manage relationships with membership bodies that Arqiva is a part of including: Broadcast Networks Europe, Digital TV Group, and techUK

* Deliver responses to relevant Government, regulatory and industry consultations, coordinating input from across the business as needed

* Deliver policy analysis and recommendations across relevant policy areas including media and broadcasting, smart metering, telecommunications, and international spectrum management

* Monitor Arqiva's markets including the utilities and media industries and provide regular analysis and updates on trends and developments

* Input into the broader work of the strategy and regulatory team as required, e.g., on strategic projects and the regulated business

The person

• Knowledge of regulatory and public policy processes and how to influence within regulatory and government environments

• Experience in influencing and working within regulatory and government environments

• Experience and knowledge of the sectors Arqiva is active in
