Fabric Engineer

Locations Location: Central London
Salary: 40k - 45k plus electric car
Shift Pattern: Standard week days with overtime availability.

We are currently seeking an experienced Fabric Engineer to join our team working on prestigious buildings and offices. This is a Permanent role offering the opportunity to work with young dynamic and vibrant FM Company.

Key Responsibilities:
• Tasks include a variety of fabric-related maintenance tasks including minor repairs to building structure, walls, floors, doors, windows, ceilings, and internal finishes.
• Fabric of the building must be maintained to the highest standards, while offering a Seemless fit when working around some occupied office spaces.
• Undertake both planned and reactive maintenance, dealing with issues promptly to minimize disruption.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and tidiness in all work areas.
• Assist with any building-related issues, liaising with contractors and other teams as required.
• Comply with building regulations and guidelines to preserve the building's features.
• Perform general fabric repairs such as redecoration, joinery, and minor construction works.

Required Skills and Experience:
• Proven experience in fabric engineering, with a strong understanding of building maintenance and fabric repairs.
• Experience working within a large office blocks and similar type works.
• Ability to carry out a wide range of tasks including basic joinery, plastering, tiling, brickwork, and painting.
• Excellent knowledge of building materials and techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• A good understanding of health and safety standards, particularly in relation to building maintenance.
• A relevant qualification in building maintenance or construction is advantageous.

• IPAF and Pasma advantageous but training can be provided.

• NVQ in building maintenance or any trade advantageous
