Ready to join a company who thrive on a challenge and new & exciting projects? This national consultancy is looking for a structural engineer to strengthen the team in Leeds. You will have at least 2 years' experience and be looking for a role that offers excellent career progression.

This structural engineer role offers a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of projects spanning the commercial, retail, residential, industrial and scientific sectors. This client is very well known across the industry and is of national size.

Some of the daily tasks for this role include performing structural engineering assessment and inspection of new and existing properties in steel, concrete, masonry and timber. You will also be a Technical lead on projects as and when required. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high quality technical documents, including dilapidation reports and due diligence structural surveys. You will undertake analysis and design using hand calculations as well as a range of software packages, including CSC, Fastrak, Tekkla, Building Designer, TEDDS, CSI Safe, Robot and Bluebeam Revu. You will ensure that quality and consistency of technical output (drawings, reports, calcs etc) is always maintained.

To be considered for this role, you will need the following:

A degree in Structural Engineering (essential).
2 to 8 years' + Post-Graduation experience is essential, working in a consultancy (UK based experience to be 2+ years minimum and recent).
Ability and confidence to win work, and varied experience in all the common forms of construction, material and building types.

You will also need excellent communication and numerical skills and experience in working on listed and historical buildings, would be advantageous. The successful candidate would be able to showcase experience of working on large projects, offices, hotels, housing developments etc. You will need to have a working knowledge of Eurocodes & British Standards, a full clean driving license, and excellent, positive, reliable work ethic.
