Estimator - Mechanical & Electrical Bias

Our client, a leading provider of maintenance, projects, and compliance services, is seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Estimator to join their team in Sittingbourne. This role offers hybrid working, competitive salary, and career growth in the commercial, NHS, education, and defence sectors.

* Salary: £50k - £65k per annum (DOE) + Bonus Scheme

* Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm

* Location: Sittingbourne (Hybrid Available)

Key Skills Required:

* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software

* Strong knowledge of bill of quantities (NRM format preferred)

* Ability to interpret specifications and drawings to develop cost estimates

* Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability

* Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and IT)

* Experience in Facility Services and Maintenance estimating

* Commercial awareness and ability to deliver accurate and competitive pricing

Roles & Responsibilities:

* Prepare and assess tenders, budgets, and cost estimates for M&E projects

* Conduct site surveys as required

* Manage projects from initial enquiry to final submission

* Develop tender strategies in collaboration with commercial, bid, and operational teams

* Prepare and submit accurate pricing documents, tenders, and BOQs

* Identify and mitigate contractual risks

* Establish best pricing from supply chain partners

What You'll Need:

* Minimum 5 years' experience in an estimating role

* Diploma of Higher Education (preferred)

* Strong understanding of M&E services and contracts

* Ability to negotiate and establish agreed terms with clients
