GSL is looking for a Learning Support Assistant

GSL Education is thrilled to offer an opportunity for a passionate Learning Support Assistant in the borough of your choice. With competitive pay rates ranging from £90 to £110 per day, this role is ideal for someone dedicated to supporting students' educational and personal development.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be integral to the academic success and well-being of students. Your responsibilities will include providing individual and group support, assisting teachers with classroom activities, and ensuring that all students have access to learning opportunities. A successful Learning Support Assistant will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create an inclusive and positive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and small group support to students.
Assist in the preparation and organisation of classroom materials and resources.
Facilitate student engagement and participation in classroom activities.
Support students in developing social and communication skills.
Help students with special educational needs to understand and complete their tasks.
Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to support student development.

Helping children prepare for activities, such as Physical Education (PE).
Supervising pupils in the playground.
Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to supporting student development.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Current enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for a new one.
