Our client based in Cambridge are seeking a Finance Systems Assistant to join them in a permanent position, the salary based on skills and experience is circa £30k. Ideally they are looking for someone with experience in an Accountancy Qualification but a real interest in the systems side rather than the accountancy side.

As a Finance Systems Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support to the finance team and ensuring the smooth operation of financial systems within the organisation.

Key responsibilities:

Assisting with the maintenance and administration of financial systems, including data entry, troubleshooting, and resolving issues as they arise.
Collaborating with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
Generating standard and ad-hoc financial reports and assisting with their analysis.
Assisting with the implementation of system upgrades and enhancements.
Conducting regular system audits to identify and rectify any discrepancies or errors.
Providing training and support to finance colleagues on the effective use of financial systems.
Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practises to continually improve system efficiency.Requirements:

Solid understanding of financial processes and procedures.
Proficiency in using financial systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or similar.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
