Educate GMare seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our friendly school with a strong community presence in a diverse area of Oldham.

This full-time role will commence in September 2024 and will be for the full academic year. The salary will range from £85- £105, depending on experience.

The perfect candidate will have a passion for working with children. You will be naturally patient and have the ability to stay calm in challenging situations. You will preferably have experience of working with children with special educational needs. The role comes with an additional responsibility of supporting the PE lead therefore an interest in sports is advantageous.

The Head Teacher takes pride in their robust team of school staff who are enthusiastic and highly experienced. The school caters for students ages 11-19. They believe every child deserves the best chance to reach their individual goals.

The successful candidate will have:

• Level 1 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Experience working with SEN is preferred
• Passion for working with children
• Great communication and patience
• Ability to work in challenging situations
• Interests in sports and fitness
• Great behaviour management
• All candidates must have a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS)
• Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained.

• You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
