About the role of a Commercial Gas Engineer

We are looking for a Commercial Gas Engineer your role is to install, maintain and repair pipes and fixtures (i.e. radiators, cylinders) associated with district heating systems in residential properties. You will carry out testing and inspection on heating systems, identifying any faults and carrying out repairs to the highest possible standard. There are 2-3 positions available for different areas such as Wandsworth,Richmond and Spelthorne.

Responsibilities for the Commercial Gas Engineer

PPM/Reactive on systems
Working on HIU's, hot water and full, MVHR's Etc.
Replace/install cylinders, thermal stores, HIU's, and ancillary equipment
Replace/repair pipework, tap stats, isolation valves and mechanical plant where required
Perform inspections of plumbing systems to identify and replace worn parts
Isolate and cap radiators/valves when found to be leaking
Replace/install radiators and ancillary pipework where required
Replace/install 2 and 3 port control valves and immersions, wiring the controls accordingly
Replace/install cylinders, thermal stores, tanks and ancillary equipment
Upgrade/repair heating and hot water serviceRequirements for Commercial Gas Engineer

Must have suitable NVQ 3 plumbing or corresponding City and Guilds qualification

Must have experience in plant rooms & commercial systems.

Must have a safe working experience on electrics.
