TeacherActive is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join the supportive team at a thriving primary school in Bethnal Green.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs, ensuring they have equal access to learning and school life. Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing tailored support to students with SEND, both in-class and through targeted interventions.

- Assisting teachers in planning and delivering lessons that meet the individual needs of SEND students.

- Creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that fosters independence and confidence.

- Working closely with the SENDCo, teachers, and other professionals to implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

- Supporting students' social and emotional development.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, specifically with SEND students.

- A solid understanding of SEND and strategies to support children with diverse needs.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children's learning and well-being.
