Group Tax Accountant - Interim RoleLocation: Dorset (Hybrid, ideally 3 days in the office)Contract: Initial 3-4 monthsRate: Up to £500 per day (Inside IR35)We are urgently seeking a highly skilled Group Tax Accountant to join our client's team on an interim basis. This role is critical for ensuring corporation tax compliance and reporting across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate must possess significant experience in group consolidations, as you will be working collaboratively with global finance teams to ensure timely and accurate tax reporting.Key Responsibilities:* Assist in preparing and submitting UK corporate tax computations alongside external advisors and finance staff. Oversee the SAO compliance process and effectively manage tax risk.* Lead the year-end tax reporting process under IFRS, leveraging your expertise in group consolidations. Collaborate with global finance teams and external auditors to prepare disclosures for group accounts, and forecast effective tax rates and cash taxes throughout the year.* Manage statutory tax disclosures under UK GAAP, coordinating with external auditors.* Prepare and maintain Transfer Pricing documentation, ensuring compliance across the group while supporting the Group's BEPS 2.0 reporting and compliance obligations.* Provide ad-hoc guidance to worldwide sites, address HMRC queries, identify process improvements, and evaluate opportunities for maximizing tax reliefs. Contribute to scenario analysis for business decisions and assist with various projects as required.Qualifications:* ACA/CTA qualified (or equivalent), with a specialization in corporate tax preferred.* Significant experience in group consolidations is essential, ideally within a finance department of a multinational company.* Proactive self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize work effectively.* Excellent communication skills to engage with various stakeholders, including external advisors.In addition to a competitive daily rate, our client offers a supportive and engaging work environment.
