As a Residential Deputy Manager, you will be ambitious, driven, and resilient to make a real difference to the development of staff and the well-being of young people.

Are you the right person for the job?

Experience as an acting Home Manager or Deputy Manager in a children's home
Two years' recent experience in children's/young people's residential care
Proficiency in working with young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties and a strong grasp of therapeutic strategies
Sound knowledge of relevant Looked After Children (LAC) procedures
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent, or actively pursuing this qualification
Full manual driver's licence
What will your role look like?

Positively support the Home Manager & Registered Manager in providing leadership in the administration, support delivery, staffing and any other functions of the service
Being responsible for the running of the home in the manager's absence
To manage the service in accordance with standards agreed by the Registered Provider, legislative requirements, relevant regulations and in line with accepted best practice, and within the financial plans agreed from time-to-time with the Registered Provider
Ensuring all recording systems and organisational documentation are of a high standard and kept up to date
To support the manager with the management of staff, including supervision, appraisals, and team meetings
Oversee the duty rota monthly in advance ensuring the correct skills and numbers on duty
Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support
