Regional Technical Manager

Newcastle Upon Tyne, Commutable from Sunderland, Hexham, Ashington, Corbridge, Durham, Hartlepool, Carlisle or surrounding areas.

£45,000 - £50,000 + Days role + 34 Days holiday + Pension + Training

Are you a Technical/Engineering Manager looking for a new challenge or an experienced Generator Engineer looking to transition into a senior role with more responsibility and training opportunities?

On offer is the opportunity for you to become a key member of the technical team, receive more autonomy over your work and continue to improve your managerial skillset whilst still being involved with hands on work.

This well-established company specialise in a variety of plant/construction equipment hire and are known for career development and stability as the business looks to diversify and challenge their competition. They are now looking to add to their team of supervisory staff.

In this role you will be responsible for overseeing repairs withing your region, assisting engineers with major repairs when needed, supporting the sales team, liaising with clients and customers, ensure health and safety protocol is followed and supporting the National Technical Manager.

The ideal candidate for this role will have install, service or maintenance experience with Generators, knowledge of battery storage units and previous leadership/management experience would be a benefit.

The role:

Days based role- Monday to Friday 8:00-17:30
Regional Technical Manager, covering (Newcastle Upon Tyne & Scottland)
Assisting engineering team with major repairs
Assisting sales team
Liaising with clients and customers
Support the National Technical Manager
Train and develop engineers
Stay away (twice a month on average)
The person:

Technical background in generators
Install, maintenance, service, or commissioning background
Experience with battery storage units
Comfortable with travel and stay aways
Full UK driving licence held for minimum of 3 years.
Ability to prioritise work
Forklift licence preferred (FLT training is available)
