Contract Outline:

Role: Switchgear Design Engineer
Sector: 11kV DNO and Critical Infrastructure projects
Location: Leeds
Contract Length: 6-months +
IR35: TBC (likely outside)
Rate: £50ph + (depends on experience)
Start Date: May 12th

Role Outline:

Identify the interface requirements and confirm suitability to specification.
Prepare electrical design schematic diagrams for 11kV applications.
Program protection configuration files for protection and control devices (Micom, Sepam etc).
Provide technical support to the project management team, the manufacturing division and the Customer.
Design of the project communication architecture and preparation of IEC61850 programme files.

Essential Skills:

11kV switchgear design experience.
Experienced in programming protection devices and relays.
Experience with ECAD software (e.g. EPLAN, AutoCAD).
Relevant Electrical Engineering qualifications
