The successful candidate will work in a tailored, nurturing environment that prioritizes the student's unique developmental needs, enabling them to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide individualised support to the student, focusing on early learning skills, including communication, literacy, numeracy, and basic cognitive development.

* Promote positive interactions and support the development of social skills, helping the student engage meaningfully with peers and adults.

* Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to enhance attention and engagement, considering the child's developmental stage and sensory needs.

* Develop and implement activities to support fine and gross motor skills development, ensuring that they are both enjoyable and challenging.

* Create a structured, sensory-friendly learning environment that minimizes distractions and supports the student's focus and comfort.

* Adapt teaching techniques to suit the student's learning style, sensory preferences, and attention span, ensuring content is both accessible and engaging.

* Work closely with parents, caregivers, and the wider multidisciplinary team (including SENCOs, speech and language therapists, and occupational therapists) to ensure a holistic approach to the child's development.

* Support the child in developing appropriate behaviour, self-regulation, and social-emotional skills.

* Regularly assess the child's progress and adapt learning activities to meet changing needs.

* Promote independence in early tasks while providing the necessary level of support to help the student succeed.

* Ensure a safe and secure environment for the child, adhering to safeguarding policies and best practices.

Key Requirements:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant UK teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, DTLLS, or equivalent).

* Experience working with children with social communication difficulties, developmental delay, or other related special educational needs (SEN).

* A strong understanding of early childhood development, including language acquisition, motor skills, and social-emotional development.

* Ability to create and deliver a structured, engaging learning experience that meets the child's individual needs.

* Experience in using strategies to support attention, engagement, and sensory regulation in young children.

* A caring, patient, and flexible approach with the ability to build trust and develop a positive relationship with the child.

* Good communication skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with parents, teachers, and external professionals.

* Understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to ensuring the child's safety and well-being.

* Knowledge of supporting motor skills development, sensory processing, and strategies for enhancing social communication.

Desirable Skills:

* Experience with early interventions such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, or other therapeutic approaches.

* Ability to create and implement sensory-friendly learning activities that cater to a range of sensory needs.

* Understanding of play-based learning and the ability to integrate this into educational activities
