A fantastic new role has come to market for a Claims Handler working for an independent insurance brokerage in Bolton. Our client is a leading name in the insurance industry, known for delivering exceptional service and building long-lasting relationships with their clients. The Claims Handler position is sitting within one of our client’s specialist teams, where you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial claims on behalf of clients. You will be supporting clients throughout the full insurance claims cycle, handling new claims enquiries, liaising with insurers and keeping the customer informed throughout.

The ideal candidate for this role will need to have a good understanding and experience of handling Property claims, either covering Commercial or Domestic properties. Experience within other claims classes such as Motor and Liabilities would also be greatly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing a portfolio of commercial claims, ensuring efficient and timely resolution.
• Liaising with clients, insurers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and keep all parties informed of progress.
• Assessing claims details, review documentation, and negotiate settlements.
• Providing clients with expert advice and support throughout the claims process.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
• Continuously developing knowledge of insurance products and claims procedures.

About You:

• Proven experience in dealing with Property claims is an essential requirement, with experience with other classes being advantageous.
• Will have a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in every task.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as you will be dealing with clients and insurers on a regular basis.
• You are committed to providing excellent service and building positive relationships with clients.
• You work well within a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive working environment.
