Information about the Role:

Working in General Maintenance in alne hall your duties will include the following:

  • Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
  • Performing preventative maintenance.
  • Handling basic repairs and maintenance.
  • Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
  • Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them.
  • Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.
  • Taking apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
  • Checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogues as necessary.
  • Using common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.

Information about the Service:

We specialise in supporting up to 30 people who have varying needs as a result of physical and long-term neurological conditions, including:

  • Cerebral palsy
  • Huntington’s disease
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Muscular dystrophy
  • Spina bifida & Hydrocephalus
  • Stroke

Our teams are highly skilled and trained to deliver specialist and complex nursing care and have significant experience with tracheostomy, PEG care, wound management and end-of-life care.

Necessary Experience or Qualifications:

Someone who has a real passion for maintenance and high-quality work.

  • Proven maintenance experience.
  • Must be a Driver with a Current and Valid Driving License.
  • Ability to work on shift/rota pattern.
  • Have the right to the work in the UK.
  • Good working knowledge of industry legislation and safe practices.
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
