About the Role:Academics is seeking dedicated and passionate Level 2/3 Qualified Nursery Practitioners to join our team on a supply basis, working across a variety of nursery settings in Walton-On-Thames. This flexible role offers the opportunity to work in different environments, gain experience, and contribute to the early years' development of children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the daily running of nursery rooms, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and welcoming environment for all children.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote children's learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their learning journey and reporting to senior staff and parents.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, fostering a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Ensure all safeguarding and health and safety policies are adhered to at all times.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
  • A solid understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their early development.
  • Flexibility to work in different nursery settings on a supply basis.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to commute to Walton-On-Thames.
