Statera Talent are currently partnered with a Bournemouth based accounting business to assist them with two new hires for accountants to work with their extensive client base including retail, hospitality, engineering, manufacturing, service-based companies, charities, and schools. The company is well respected in the area and has been well established over many decades.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of financial statements using accounting software

• Bookkeeping and payroll management

• Quarterly VAT return preparation

• General accounting and finance tasks

• Conducting client meetings

• Addressing tax planning and business advisory matters

Qualifications

• Proven experience in preparing financial statements, bookkeeping, and reconciliations

• Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage, Quickbooks, and Xero

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices

• High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, potentially in a managerial role

• Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant software

• Experience with IRIS is preferred but not essential

• Minimum of two years' practice experience is essential

Role Details

The position will be office-based during the initial 3 month probation period. Upon successful completion of probation, a hybrid work model will be introduced.
