Our client, a leading construction company based in Ainsworth, specialises in high-quality suspended ceilings and partitioning systems for both commercial and industrial projects. Known for delivering exceptional standards and working on prestigious developments across the North West, they have built a solid reputation within the industry. Due to continuous growth and an expanding project portfolio, they are now seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately measure and estimate material costs, labour, and other project expenses for specialist ceiling and partition installations.
- Prepare and submit detailed tenders for a range of commercial and industrial projects.
- Manage subcontractor accounts, ensuring accurate valuations and payments are processed.
- Identify and propose cost-saving solutions while maintaining the high-quality standards the company is known for.
- Conduct site visits to measure and evaluate works, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Provide accurate financial reports on project status, highlighting any issues or opportunities for improvement.
- Assess project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry, ideally with specific expertise in ceilings, partitions, and drylining.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and relevant regulations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or similar QS software).
- Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field (degree or equivalent).
- A valid UK driving licence, as occasional site visits will be required.
