Salary: £140 - £190/day

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Language Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive SEN school in Shrewsbury. This part-time role offers an excellent opportunity to teach French or Spanish to students with diverse learning needs, fostering their love for languages in a nurturing and inclusive environment. The role is available for 1 day per week until July 2025.

Key Responsibilities

*

Plan and deliver engaging and accessible French or Spanish lessons tailored to meet the needs of SEN students.

*

Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate a variety of additional needs, including autism and moderate learning difficulties (MLD).

*

Collaborate with support staff to create an inclusive classroom environment.

*

Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to encourage language development.

*

Foster a positive and stimulating learning atmosphere that inspires students to explore new cultures and languages.

What We're Looking For

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.

*

Experience teaching French or Spanish, preferably within an SEN or inclusive setting.

*

Strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.

*

A patient, empathetic, and creative approach to teaching.

*

Passion for promoting cultural awareness and language learning.

Requirements

To be considered for the SEN Teacher position you will:

· Previous experience in a Secondary school setting or SEN school

· Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team

· Hold the Right to Work in the UK

· Have a QTS

· Have a DBS Certificate on the Update Service / Willing to obtain one

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is previous experience working in a primary school setting
