We deliver innovative, award-winning services to the public and private sectors and our mission is to make people and places the best they can be.This role sits within our Private Sector FM business division that provides catering, cleaning, hard services, pest control, and security services to a wide range of prestigious clients, within the Venues market.About The Role:The primary focus of this role is to provide leadership, mentorship, supervision, and guidance to the Battersea Power Station Security Control Room Teams which are operational 24/7. The role is pro-active to prevent incidents escalating and evidential to record and monitor. You will be expected to assist the power station and estate security teams, ensuring that the environment is not only running as smoothly as possible but exceeding expectations.The Control Room Supervisor provides an essential line management and support role to the Control Room team. Responsible for their own team and ensuring that they are safe, secure and confident in their role. The Control Room Supervisor will always be expected to lead by example, ensuring that the minimum standards of the company and client compliance is met.
Shift pattern: 4 on & 4 off - Day shift (07:00-19:00) & Night shifts (19:00-07:00)
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Responsibility for the initial and ongoing training and development of all control room operators, holding regular periodic meetings (welfare and probations) to ensure they are receiving the correct level of support and training whilst also ensuring they achieve the necessary standards.
- Complete regular CCTV audits within the control rooms and present to the relevant Security Operations Manager reporting any issues immediately. Along with the plans or measures put in place to rectify or mitigate them.
- Ensuring correct staffing levels for day-to-day activity within the Control Rooms.
- You will ensure all systems and equipment are checked in line with procedure and the correct prompt action is taken to rectify any issues.
- Maintain effective oversight of all incidents across the estate to ensure they are effectively managed, logged and reviewed. That all incident reports are sent in accordance with the SLAs on Data Station with all relevant details checked before being distributed
- Manage the control room in line with the procedures and standards outlined within the AI's and SOP's.
- Oversee the creation of offender profiles and regularly updating of the offender profiles ensuring these are available for the DSMs to brief the patrolling officers.
- Ensure that Assignment Instructions and SOPs are being followed. Where these are not followed, ensure that corrective actions are raised, and plans are implemented formally and informally.
- Maintain the security standards of the Estate for access/egress and Contractor/Visitor regulation using daily, weekly, and monthly checks on the access control systems.
- Ensure all incidents (including safety-related) are promptly reported on the correct platform and quality assured via Data Station and all evidence is saved into an incident pack.
- Carry out informal morning meetings with members of the team as agreed with the Security Manager on an ongoing basis.
- Liaise with the Security Operation Manager daily and ensure that tasks are completed as agreed between both parties.
- Ensure all areas under the control room supervisor is kept clean and tidy.
- Ensure all controllers are in possession of and display SIA licences whilst on duty.
- To be conversant with all systems of reporting and oversee and assist where necessary.
You should meet the following criteria:
- Right to work in the UK
- Security management experience is essential
- CCTV SIA licence is essential
- Ability to lead and manage a team
- Extensive knowledge of the security sector
- Experience working as a Security Supervisor or Manager
- Ability to work day and night shifts
- Excellent attention to detail
