Looking for your next Planning role? This consultancy provide expert planning advice to landowners, developers and private clients across the UK. They are a dedicated firm who are looking to take on a dynamic Principal Planner to join the team and drive the company forward.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for delivering the objectives of the company positioning statement to provide clear realistic advice with a personalised service.
* Dealing with a wide range of planning work, with capability to work independently.
* Developing and managing client relationships, responsible for business development activity and achieving self-sufficiency in work generation.
* Handling new enquiries at an appropriate level with prompt responses and follow up to secure new instructions.
* Mentoring junior staff in their professional development.
* Preparing written fee proposals for clients.
* Undertaking planning history and policy research independently and accurately.
* Preparing written site appraisals for clients.
* Preparing panning, deign and access, heritage, and other related statements for submission.
What They're Looking For:
* Chartered Planner/ RTPI Member
* Full driving license (exceptions can be considered)
* Range of varied and solid planning experience
* Private sector experience desirable
* Self-aware, with a desire for continued personal development
* Willingness to adapt with the business
* Supportive and collaborative
Knowledge Required:
* Good understanding and ability in the full range of planning work.
* Good commerical understanding of development project.
* Good commerical understanding of planning consultancy business.
