SF Recruitment have a temporary need coming up in their purchasing department in Derby City Centre. The role of Purchasing Coordinator will be to support the business operations by ensuring the correct materials are available to satisfy customer requirements whilst maintaining stock within agreed levels as well as indirect buying and project work. Responsibilities of the Purchasing Coordinator: - Creating/releasing orders to suppliers - Ensuring messages are actioned in a timely manner - Reporting materials against production plans - Reviewing stock levels - Indirect purchasing inc. negotiating with suppliers - Working on improvement projects as part of the purchasing team - Working closely with the Production Planning and Customer Service to ensure effective communication of changes in supply Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge of the Purchasing Coordinator - Experience in supply chain e.g. materials, warehouse administration, inventory, planning, purchasing - Experience of working with IT based stock systems - Highly organised with strong analytical skills - Attention to detail This is a fantastic opportunity for a Supply Chain Coordinator, Purchaser, Buyer, Purchasing Assistant, Procurement Assistant, Materials Planner, Production Planner, Scheduler, Warehouse Administrator, Inventory Coordinator, or Inventory Planner to support on a temporary basis in the lead up to Christmas!
