Job Description:
An EdTech company is seeking a dedicated and experienced ER (Employee Relations) Advisor to join a dynamic HR team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing employee relations cases, providing expert advice, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Partnership: Act as a key operational partner for the business and HR Business Partners, providing guidance to employee and manager questions related to policies, HR practices, and coordination with HR Operations.
Case Management: Support the HR Business Partners with low-level Employee Relations (ER) cases, taking ownership of disciplinary and grievance procedure investigations and recommendations for resolution.
Policy Advisory: Provide advice and guidance to management and employees on HR policies and procedures, including but not limited to probations, family leave, absence management, and flexible working practices.
Performance Management: Facilitate performance management processes, including goal setting, performance appraisals, and development, as well as agreeing and monitoring performance improvement plans.
Query Resolution: Lead on queries escalated via online HR Help and respond to queries with support from the relevant Business Partner.
Policy Implementation: Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure they are up-to-date and legally compliant.
Mediation and Conflict Resolution: Facilitate mediation sessions and provide conflict resolution support to resolve workplace disputes effectively.
Investigations: Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints and incidents, preparing detailed reports and recommendations.
Compliance: Ensure all ER activities comply with current employment legislation and company policies.
Training: Deliver training sessions to managers and employees on ER-related topics to build capability within the organisation.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all employee relations cases, ensuring confidentiality and data protection.
Reporting: Prepare and present reports on ER metrics and trends to senior management, identifying areas for improvement.
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders, including HR colleagues, managers, and external partners.

Qualifications and Experience:

Proven experience as an ER Advisor or in a similar role within a fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of employment law and best practices in employee relations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
Experience in conducting investigations and writing comprehensive reports.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
